01.27.2007: Kelly and Pat

Ceremony: St. Mary Cathedral Basilica
Venue:
Roof Garden
This was our first double booked wedding for the year. So Mariae and I split up the team. We enjoyed the beautiful weather in Galveston as we documented Kelly and Pat's late evening wedding. The night was filled with lots of love, laughters, and tears as Kelly and Pat danced through midnight. The bride, herself, was a practical jokester. When the groom went in for the garter belt, he pulled out the world largest panty!! It was hilarious...another PinkPosh's first. Thank you for letting us document your wedding day. Best wishes to you and your new family! (Hali, Paul & Marie)

01.27.2007: Krissy and Hunter

Ceremony: St. Michael's Catholic Church
Venue: Hilton Post Oak

I had such an amazing time at Krissy and Hunter's wedding this past Saturday! The bride was absolutely lovely in her Priscilla gown and was so relaxed and ready to marry her groom :). Krissy and Hunter were "set-up" by their parents and I guess their wedding celebration is testament that parents do know best...(sometimes!) :) Some facts about the couple everyone should know about...a)both are attorneys...b)both are immigration attorneys...c)both work at the same law firm... So Krissy and Hunter, what this means for you is: a) you can commute to work together...b) you can always have lunch together..and c)Hunter, you can never lie to Krissy about working late at the office so you can hang out with the boys! Congratulations and thanks so much for letting me be there to document your wedding day! Enjoy the sun, sand and beaches for the next few days!! 01.26.2007: Philip and Heather's Engagement

Congratulations to Philip and Heather! Their wedding is this coming May and I met them at Miller Outdoor Theater today for their engagement session. Philip proposed to Heather there...in wet grass. Well, the grass was still wet today, and he reenacted it so they could have a keepsake picture of the proposal! What a guy! We also headed over the Museum of Natural Science and this is the very first that I ever did an engagement session with dinosaurs! Sounds weird...but the dinosaurs held particular sentimental value to Philip and Heather :) Anyways, Philip and Heather, congrats and enjoy the sneaks :)

01.20.2007: Suemy and Chae

Ceremony: Trinity Lutheran Church
Venue: Hobby Center for the Performing Arts

We had so much fun at Chuemy's wedding tonight (rather, yesterday...). They held the ceremony at a beautiful church downtown and Suemy looked absolutely stunning in her custom wedding gown and her gorgeous necklace :). The party moved over to the Hobby Center where the bridal party made their grand entrance to "Nelly's - Hot in Here". I had to mention this specific song, because the bride put alot of thought into choosing the song with her girls - before the ceremony. There were amazing ambience, food, slideshow, music video (yes, I didn't mistype - the couple made a music video) and funny stories about the bride and groom. There was even a point in the wedding where the bride sat on the groom, while he did 10 pushups...you had to be there. Anyways, Suemy and Chae..or rather Chuemy or The Cho's - thank you so much for having us there. Oh, and don't forget what you guys learned during the Newlywed Game - trust me, it's going to come in handy :). (~Mariae, Paul & Vince)

01.13.2007: Lisa and Alex

Ceremony: Our Lady of Lourdes Church

Reception: Kim Son Ballroom
What a crazy weekend! Lisa and Alex (after nine long years of seeing one another) finally trapped each other into marriage :) They had a double wedding (Friday wedding in Austin) followed by a lovely wedding 'bright and early' Saturday morning in Houston. Well, it wasn't bright (since we had to meet her at 7am for her hair/makeup -and there's no sunshine at 6:30am yet...)...but it was definitely early. Even though things were a little chaotic and things not happening as planned - (....vows not being read, church centerpieces crashing to bits before the wedding, no 'first kiss' or church exit) it was definitely filled with a lot of love, humor, friendship...and *BLING*. Enough waxing poetic...some things Pink Posh found out about the couple. The groom has hairy legs. The bride almost fell into the pool. And their honeymoon plans are to sleep, sleep, and sleep. Lisa: I got four words for you: I told you so. Congrats guys and thanks for letting us be a part of your celebration(s) :) (~Mariae, Paul & Marie)

12.30.2006: Kim Anh and Scott

Ceremony: Vietnamese Alliance Church
Venue: Kim Son Ballroom
On the eve of the eve of New Year, we celebrated with Kim Anh and Scott as they exchanged vows they wrote for each other. I have to admit that when we asked for an itinerary of the wedding day, they really gave us an itinerary - broken down by minutes. Everyone followed it to the "t." If you are familiar with asian weddings, guests typically arrive 2 hours after the stated time on the invitation, but Kim Anh and Scott had it down to a science. The ceremony, reception, and even the time we left (yes, they even put on the itinerary, the exact time we were supposed to leave!) were either on time or early! At the reception the bride's brother dedicated and sang/strummed a song just for them. Later a hilarious dramatization of the proposal were acted out by two of the groomsmen followed by a game of "how well do you know each other." My favorite part of the reception was when the bride and groom greeted the guests at the table. Apparently, it is a Chinese tradition for half the table to stand behind half of the seated guests at the table along with the couple for a table picture. What a great way to keep a record of all the guests who attended and sharing the picture of the wedding day later with their guests! Congratulations Scott and Kim Anh. I'm sure you guys are having a marvelous time on the cruise!
