10.27.2006: Alberto and Meredith's Engagement

Congratulations to Alberto and Meredith!
I had such a great time shooting Meredith and Alberto's engagement session. They are a such a fun and casual couple, that I was drawn into conversation with them and on occasions forgot to take pictures! Even the session was very casual - we started at the house, made our way to a nearby park, and then down to 19th where Alberto made a great find. If that was not enough, Max at Gallery 19 offered us the use of the gallery space where we not only enjoyed beautiful artwork, we also saw a great art scooter and met catwoman :) I can honestly say that this was definitely a one-of-a-kind session!

10.27.2006: Casey and Sabrina's Engagement

Congratulations to Casey and Sabrina!
I met up with Sabrina and Casey down in the Montrose area on Friday for their engagement session. I had been looking forward to their session for a while now, since this was one of my first real "cowboy" engaged couple. And...it was everything I thought it would be! He had his cowboy hat on and Sabrina reminded me of a beauty queen! What luck that the rain stopped the night before and the sun and blue skies came out :) And a special thanks to St. Thomas and staff there for being so welcoming and letting us invade your office!

10.24.2006: Luis and Brandy's Engagement

Congratulations to Luis and Brandy!!!
Tonight, I finally got the opportunity to meet Luis. He flew in from Iraq just to have engagement pictures done by me...okay, maybe that's not the ONLY reason he came back into the U.S. :) He may have also came to visit the bride :) Their wedding is not until May, but because Luis only gets into town once in a while, they decided to take a daytrip to Austin and get their engagement session done here. Lucky me! I love shooting in Austin, even though I did give them a very scenic circular tour of 2nd to 6th street, while looking for parking. Although, rain looked imminent, all we had was a little sprinkle during the day, and when evening rolled around, it was a perfect night. Enjoy the pictures!

10.21.2006 Joseph and Loan's Formal Portraits

Congratulations to Joseph and Loan!
This past weekend I went up to Dallas to take formal pictures of the bride/groom for their December wedding. Typically, I wouldn't post a bridal portrait session until AFTER the wedding, but since the groom obviously saw this bride's dress, I thought it would be okay to share! :) So, Joseph and Loan are very close to Pink Posh's heart(s). On most occasions, we get to the know the couple after their portrait sessions, consultations, etc. but what a treat this time that I have a personal history with this particular set of bride and groom! Joseph and I attended the first grade and several other grades together and I have known the bride ever since high school. We all grew up on the same street and all rode on the same yellow school bus :) Who would have thunk that they would end up together and I would get the chance to take their wedding portraits :) Congratulations and we are so happy for the both of you!

10.13.2006: Pat and Kelly's Engagement

Congratulations to Kelly and Pat!
So Friday the 13th started very early for me. I drove down to Galveston to meet Kelly and Pat for their engagement portraits. It was very wet the night before, a cold front came in, and by 8am when we started the outdoor session, it had become very chilly. We started at the Strand and made our way down to the beach. They even took me around Galveston to go take a quick looksie at their church, their venue, and the restaurant that Pat proposed at. Below are some pictures of them at the beach and below the pier!
You can't even tell that she was freezing and the wind was wreaking havoc with her hair! What a trooper!

10.06.2007: Andrea and Ashu x2

Ceremony: Greenway Inn and Suites
Venue: Greenway Inn and Suites
Last Saturday was the second time we documented Andrea and Ashu's wedding celebration. This couple sure know how to change things up, even though they did get married two months earlier! Sounds confusing right? The first time we met the couple was for their "double wedding." The bride and her mother was having a wedding ceremony and reception at the same time. That in itself was already interesting. They called us back up asking us to shoot their wedding. Rewind. I thought we did already??!! Anyways, this time around they had an elaborate traditional Indian wedding, complete with the bridegroom arriving on a horse and the bride "trying" to be very "naive and ladylike..." (Andrea, I do have a great picture of you doing a very unladylike whistle from the balcony!!) I apologize in advance for not posting more images from this wedding, but will try to add more later if time permits!

10.05.2006: Kevin and Amiee's Engagement

Congratulations to Kevin and Amiee!!
They are getting married up in Lakeway in just over a month - at a Resort and Spa no less! The only downside is that Amiee and Kevin run the risk of having me and my entire team getting our massage on at the spa that day! We may be too relaxed to take pictures that day! Between all the joggers passing through and the sun blinding the bride-to-be, (really, don't people work at 8:30 in the morning?), they definitely had some very poignant moments during their portrait session. And I couldn't believe how Kevin could just pick up Aimee and carry her for hours at a time :) Keep up the practice, I am definitely going to ask you guys to repeat that on your wedding day!

09.30.2006 : Joyce and Shaun

Ceremony: St. Laurence
Venue: Safari Texas
This weekend we got the opportunity to document one of our "fun-est" couple yet! Joyce and Shaun's wedding definitely kept us on our toes all weekend! It started with an intimate henna party on Thursday and a beautiful colorful wedding ceremony and reception on Saturday. The bride looked absolutely gorgeous in her wedding sari and jewelries. Their party was a mixture of Hollywood meets Bollywood, with a little spot of college rivalry thrown in for good old fashion fun. A special dance was prepared for the bride and groom - and imagine my delight when they danced to Maahi Ve from one of my favorite Hindi movie - Kal Ho Naa Ho. But it didn't end there - there were great dance moves on the floor this Saturday, including the best "worm dance" I've ever seen at a wedding. Go Longhorns! :-P. (I'm kidding!)
