12.28.2006: Brenden and April's Engagement

Congratulations to April and Brenden! I met them for their engagement session at the park that they will be holding their wedding ceremony. I can't wait for their wedding now that I've seen the place! April and Brenden definitely knew exactly what they wanted from their session - one thing they stressed were less portraits, more art. I love being able to play around and experiment with the available light. We even got a little break while we wait for the holiday lights on the trees to come on - so we took advantage of that and ordered a couple of martinis and used them for the pictures! Of course ordering olives for a too sweet martini and moving around to different tables (because I wanted to get some pictures of the sunset) caused a few speculation from the wait staff. But they were so understanding! I hope you guys enjoy the pictures as much as I do! Congrats!

12.16.2006: Loan and Joseph

Ceremony: Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos Catholic Church
Reception: The Joppa Shrine Center

It's always nice to come back home...and see old friends. Over the weekend, our friends Loan and Joseph said their vows in Biloxi, MS. This was my first trip back to my hometown since Katrina. It's really sad to see the destruction Katrina left behind but the hospitality and the spirit of the people there are unbelievable. I have to say, getting back home was hard but we did make it there. Our two hours flight turned into a 12 hours nightmare--due to the fog, there were flight cancelled, flight re-booked, flight delayed, flight re-routed, and luggage lost...luckily for the bride and groom, we always carry on our camera equipments. However, this story does have a happy ending...Wal-mart was opened 24hrs!! We didn't look too shabby in our Wal-mart clothes. Oh yeah, back to the wedding...this bride was prepared! She's so prepared, she had understudies for the ring bearer and flower girl. Another PinkPosh's first! My favorite part was at the reception when Mr. MC, Viet, asked the bride and groom 5 things "what they love and hate about each other". The answers and the reactions of the bride and groom were hilarious. Congratulations Loan and Joseph. We love ya!! (Hali & Paul, and Mariae<--who's on vacation)

Austin Bridal Show - January 6-7, 2007

I promise we have not been lazy. In fact, we have been superbusy trying to get everything done to take a much needed holiday and including getting all our things together for the Austin Bridal Show in January. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to post up new images from our last few portrait sessions since they have been all Bridals. Something about the brides not wanting their fiance to see the dress...(although groom(s), if you really want to get a sneak, I am bribeable...) J/K! But for all you brides-to-be out there who would like to meet us and get their hands on a Bridal Special that we are offering to the Austin Bridal Show attendees - please come out and visit us at our booth! We'll be out there on January 6th and 7th at the Palmer Event Center. Also, huge, huge thanks to all our brides and grooms who has helped make 2006 so memorable for us and we are so honored that you have let us in on such an amazing time in your life! Happy Holidays all! :)

12.03.2006: Alex and Lisa's Engagement

Congratulations to Lisa and Alex! They are getting married next month and planning two wedding ceremonies (traditional and western) in two different cities on the same weekend! But for today, we stayed put in Austin while Lisa pretended she was in the Bahamas, and not stuck out in the cold and wind in her "ao dai." If you have ever worn one, you know that this particular item of clothing gives you no protection against the cold. Kudos to Lisa and Alex for being so lovely and easy going, and not once complaining about the weather. :) Lisa, I'm sure your January wedding is going to experience very Bahama-esque weather :)

12.02.2006: Chae and Suemy's Engagement - Part 2

Congratul...wait, I said that already :) Anyways, today was part 2 of Suemy and Chae's engagement session down in Austin. We made our way all around Austin. First stop, of course...UT Austin (Chae is a Texas Ex), so we had to get the UT Tower in and the Stadium. Those are the must haves in order to be a contender for the "spirit award" :). Then we made our way to Mt. Bonnell, Mozarts (one of my fave local spots) for hot chocolate and oreo cheesecake, and a final stop down at 6th street. It was so much fun shooting Suemy and Chae especially since they had "blind trust" in me (insert *evil laugh* here) and let me position them and place them anywhere I wanted to get my shots :) Enjoy the peeks guys!

12.01.2006: Chae and Suemy's Engagement - Part 1

Congratulations to Suemy and Chae! I met up with Suemy and Chae this morning at a park that held a lot of sentimental value to them for a couple of quick pictures. It was blistering cold and I was running late because of traffic (I know, lame excuse - but I forget how bad Houston traffic can be), but the little area they took me to was just too charming! I'm so glad they introduced me to that place! Anyways, Suemy and Chae is going to try to be a contender for the UT Austin school spirit award - bring it on! I can't wait to see how you guys are going to top the last Longhorn wedding! Here's a couple of sneak peeks and more to come as they make their way up to Austin for their "actual" engagement session!
