Pink Posh Brides: Sarah

Location: The Gallery

Flowers: Le Jardiniere (309 Stafford Rd., Houston, TX 77079) Makeup: Hues by Heather
Finally!!! Sarah became a Mrs. this past Saturday! I have been DYING to post some of her pictures from the bridal session up! We shot part of her bridal at The Gallery - yes, I love shooting here, especially with the mediterranean/european feel to it, but with a twist of east coast urban. I also need to mention Lee at Le Jardiniere for graciously creating a beautiful bridal bouquet for Sarah in her wedding colors at the last minute! Sarah introduced us to her sister who is getting married in May (yes, of this year) and her bridal session is coming up in a few weeks - can't wait!! BTW, Becky, the picture of the veil in the wind is for you :)

Pink Posh Brides: Neelu

Neelu became a Mrs. 1 1/2 weeks ago...and we shot her bridal session with a lot of time to spare - exactly 8 days before her wedding. So oviously she has not seen too many images from her bridal session. She's going to kill me for posting one of the pictures on here, but I think she looks absolutely jawdropping and I'm ready to face anything she got to dish out :) Neelu, thanks for being such an amazing bride!

02.25.2007: Michael and Teresa's Engagement

Congratulations to Michael and Teresa! Their wedding will be celebrated on Easter's weekend. For their e-session, we met up with them at The Dallas Arboretum. What a beautiful day to go to the park! Not a single cloud in the sky. I do believe we shot at every single shaded location. Mike and Teresa were wonderful. They were game for anything we suggested...from lying on the soggy grass to the numerous piggy back rides. Enjoy the sneak peeks!! P.S. One suggestion for your wedding day...EASTER BUNNY! :)

02.25.2007: Phong and Lien Bridal Formals

Location: The Gallery
Congratulations to Phong and Lien. They are getting married in one month (same day as Diana and Will) and we met today to shoot their Bridal Formals at The Gallery (special thanks to Steven for opening up the venue and being so accomodating!) Although we shot midday, full sun, no clouds to be seen for miles and miles, it gave me a chance to be creative and try to work the bright sun and crazy shadows to my advantage. Crazy thing was that the other half of Pink Posh was shooting an engagement session at the same time (3pm! - but in Dallas) - so I can't wait to see how they handled the sun at their e-session! Phong & Lien, enjoy the peeks and see you guys in March!

02.24.2007: Sarah, Vim and William

Ceremony: Safari Texas Ranch

Reception: Safari Texas Ranch
Hair & Makeup: Hues by Heather
What a Saturday!!! We had such a BLAST at Sarah+Vim's wedding! So much so that we're still recuperating from it! The day started out with dark clouds, rain, wind and of course a lot of stress since it was an outdoor ceremony. With an hour to the ceremony, the clouds parted and the sun came out in full force. Sarah, Vim and William officially became a family and how sweet was it when William tugged on Vim's pants when he must have thought Vim was kissing his mom a little too long during the ceremony! Other must mentions: Bagpipers! (I always wanted to shoot a wedding with bagpipe musicians for some reason), costumes - as in crazy sunglasses, feather boas, zany hats worn by almost everyone during the reception (I'm thinking to require this at all of the weddings we are going to cover from now on...) and finally, if you were at the wedding, you know I have to mention this - The GARTER TOSS. So, the groom tossed the garter...and you know that old adage "What goes up, must come down?" Apparently, that's not always true. Somehow when Vim tossed the garter it hit the chandelier and got trapped in it. HA HA. Okay, maybe not that funny to the bride (since it was her something old, something borrowed and something blue). Well, this was a very enterprising bunch of guests and if you want to know how they got the garter down, the bride and groom may be persuaded to sell their wedding videos (in case this should happen at your wedding!) Sarah and Vim, enjoy Thailand and don't forget to invite us to your next party!!!! See you guys at the next wedding!

02.23.2007: Will and Diana's Engagement

Congratulations to Will and Diana! Their wedding is coming up in almost exactly one month - so of course they had to get their e-session on :) Tonight was a little cloudy, a little rainy and very, very windy...but they pulled it off with no complaints! The only problem we had with Will and Diana were them not kissing enough (you know how much we love our couples to make out in public :oP). But we solved that by getting the Security Guard to threaten them!! HA HA! Warning to my Pink Posh couples - might as well do as we say, or we will strongarm you :). But I have to give Diana props though, she let me pose her sitting on the wet ground in her white shorts - I don't know too many people who let me do that! Will and Diana enjoy the sneaks!

Pink Posh Brides: Sabrina

Okay, Sabrina is not quite a "Mrs." yet, but she did say that there was NO CHANCE that her fiance would be checking out this blog...but in the event that Casey stumbles across this, PLEASE STOP READING!!! :) I shot Sabrina's bridal this afternoon and she was absolutely stunning as always. We shot well into after sunset, and would have kept going if the coyotes didn't start howling. This was apparently not a big deal to the bride since she's marrying a bullrider and is probably used to ranch life (I'm assuming) - but I'm NOT! Anyways, thanks to Taunia and everyone there at Texas Ranch Life for being so hospitable and so kind to show us "life in the slow lane." You guys truly have a little piece of heaven on earth right there.

02.17.2007: Neelu and Dave

Ceremony: Parador
Reception: Parador

We made it back from Neelu+Dave's wedding a few hours ago. They had an intimate candlelit wedding ceremony, beautiful decorations, flowers, cake(s), and amazing American and Indian cuisine! There were some snags along the way of course - the bride's veil went missing before the ceremony (although she didn't seem to mind at all); the bride's shoes didn't fit...but she did have very industrious McGuyverish bridesmaid to help her tape, punch holes and who knows what else to get her into her shoes. Cinderella's stepsisters could learn a thing or two from Neelu's bridesmaids :) Dave and Neelu - congratulations and enjoy Hawaii..and Neelu, just for the record...that was me being nice today :) (~Mariae, Paul & Marie)
