05.27.2007: Jenise and Andy

Ceremony: Safari Texas Ranch
Reception: Safari Texas Ranch
This Memorial Day weekend we got to witness Jenise and Andy celebrate their vows to one another in a Tiffany infused wedding theme! The day started out raining and the wedding was to be outdoors in the Magnolia courtyard at Safari Texas. But about three hours before the wedding, the clouds broke and blue skies came in!!! So the wedding got moved back outside (just as planned...I wasn't worried - I knew it was going to be outside! Sorta.) So onto Pink Posh's notables! A gorgeous, gorgeous wedding done in Tiffany inspired blue. The bridesmaids wore gorgeous silk dresses (that I wanted). They also received a bracelet from Tiffany (that I also wanted - in fact, I was trying to get Jenise to include me into the wedding party at the last minute :P). Jenise promising to "obey" Andy after several tries during the vows. Oh, and a Pink Posh first - jumping over the broom! Also, details, details, details everywhere (Jenise should be an event designer..seriously!!) The groom and groomsmen decked out in a chocolate pin-striped suit. Jenise's ex-boyfriends and Andy's ex-girlfriend. The special song that Andy wrote for Jenise (supposedly....) Anyways, Jenise and Andy - enjoy the cruise and now I won't be able to go to Tiffany's without thinking of you guys :)! (~Mariae, Paul & Vince)

Pink Posh Bridal: Long and Alice

On Sunday, I spent the day with Long and Alice for their formal session. We started at Kemah on "The Mermaid II" where Alice had the precarious task of walking a thin plank to the boat in her massive Amsale gown - while I was trying to get away with shooting with a zoom lens so I wouldn't have to walk the plank myself. (I did walk the plank later though...) And since Long and Alice looked so spectacular in their wedding formals...I thought that the best place for their session should be a place where billions of people visit it all around the world. Yeppas, Mickey Dees. Really, Long was hungry. So was Alice. As was I. I couldn't resist not taking pictures of them in Mickey Dees in their wedding finery while we grabbed a quick bite. Also, Alice is a photographer's dream! She was willing to trash not one, but two of her Amsale wedding gowns for the sake of pictures. Maybe later...I didn't want to risk her ruining her dress beyond repair before the wedding. You guys are absolutely nuts. I love it!!! See you guys in August :)

05.19.2007: Shannon and Landon

Ceremony: Tomball Bible Church
Reception: Telge Road Hall
It was an early start for us this weekend...well, for Mariae anyway. She had to cover Shannon's getting pretty session at 8am since I pulled the "I'm pregnant" card. I can't be on my feet all day, now can I?? I met up with Shannon at church in the afternoon. If Shannon looked familiar, that's because we covered her sister Sarah's wedding back in February. I kept on calling Shannon "Sarah" all day...good thing her mom did too - but man they look alike!!! Shannon had an all white theme wedding (her favorite color)...a white bouquet (well, almost white bouquet after she took out all the unnecessary greeneries), painted white trees, and a beautiful white cake. I was waiting for the DJ to play the song "White Wedding" but the wedding was more country than rock. This wedding definitely have a lot of Pink Posh's first: bride's hair was too big to go through her dress--which gave me a lot of photo opportunities; ropes tying ceremony; ginormous sword used to cut the cake; guests taking turn dancing in front of big industrial fans--don't ask; and an early exit!! What can I say, the bride and groom wanted to get a headstart on married life :) Oh yeah, and they get to be in the running for best school spirit! Landon is in the Corp and although they didn't go "Aggie color crazy"...they did have the best Aggie War Hymn performance :) Shannon + Landon, we heart you too. And Becky, two down and one more to go...we'll see you in six years!! (Hali, Paul and Vince)

05.19.2007: Jennifer and Russ

Ceremony: Bella Terraza
Reception: Bella Terraza
I heart Jennifer and Russ!! (Especially Jennifer - check out how hot/gorgeous/unbelievable she looks!! I told Russ I would married her myself she was so hot on Saturday! Although others also volunteered to take Jennifer off of Russ' hand..but I don't think he was having any of that!) The morning actually started for me covering the "getting pretty session" for another wedding (to be blogged). I met up with Jennifer and her entourage at the makeup studio where all the girls were getting "Texas Big" hair and sexy done for the wedding. (I highly encourage Texas Big Hair!!) One thing about this wedding was definitely the wedding colors! When the bride first mentioned her wedding color of....CHEETAH, I was definitely excited to see how it would look. Amazing of course!!! And I love how Jennifer kept her bouquet very elegant with white roses and white peonies - which definitely made a statement against all the cheetah prints! So onto the notables of the evening: 1) Bond girls "Harley" and "Magnolia". They cracked me up all night long!!! 2) "Harley" going down the aisle with her Blue Steel pose. So, Harley, "have you ever wondered if there was more to life, other than being really, really, ridiculously good looking?" - Derek Zoolander 3) The bride and groom and the entire wedding party for that matter singing to "Build Me Up Buttercup" during dinner at the head table! 4) Mashed potatoes Martinis. YUMMMY!!! 5) The groom telling me to start drinking since all the important pictures were already taken - and the reception had only just started. Nice try Russ, but I wasn't going to fall for that one!! :) Jennifer and Russ, enjoy St. Lucia and can I come to the next party you guys throw???!!!:) (~Mariae & Billy)
