03.30.2007: Charles and Kim's Engagement

Congratulations to Charles and Kim! They are getting married in the very nice cool month of June! Today started pretty gloom doom! There were news of thunderstorms, tornadoes and hailstorm - but Charles and Kim were pretty hardcore..they were going to shoot rain or shine. So we scrapped our original plan and decided to go to their reception venue, Green Pastures, for their e-session! Green Pastures is absolutely gorgeous!!! So lush and green, and tons of peacocks roaming around everywhere! Plus it helped that the rain stopped and it was picture perfect conditions! Charles and Kim, you guys are HA-HA-larious, and I love the "formal" poses you guys thought up!! Enjoy the sneaks!!

03.24.2007 Diana and Will

Ceremony: Pine Forest Country Club
Venue: Pine Forest Country Club
We ended March with a double booked wedding. (We'll get a little break this coming weekend but Mariae may beg to differ since she has bridal and e-essions). I covered Diana+Will. I have never seen a groom so stressed. Will was sweating since 11am and the ceremony didn't begin til 6pm!! It's sweet how he wanted everything to go smoothly for his bride. This wedding had several Pink Posh's first: A rose ceremony!! (Definitely my favorite now!!); the world fastest cake cutting event; and the father and bride toasting with shots!! And Diana+Will, your dance was beautiful. You worried for nothing! Enjoy Hawaii next month for your honeymoon. (~Hali, Paul, and Marie)

03.24.2007: Lien and Phong

Venue: Kim Son Ballroom

Well Pink Posh ended the week with a double wedding. I covered Lien and Phong's wedding reception at Kim Son (they had a traditional tea ceremony a few days earlier) and they did such an amazing job with all the details and decorations!!! I think that was the best that venue has ever looked - there were gorgeous flower arrangements, vases filled with cherry blossoms (I HEART CHERRY BLOSSOMS!), fabrics draped from the ceiling with detail lighting throughout the venue. The bride had three dress change (this may seem excessive, but really its quite the norm in asian cultures - I guess any excuse to buy a new dress(es) right girls? Some wedding day notables (as is my usual) - the groom's battle with the champagne bottle in front of 500 guests (the champagne bottle almost won); amazing, touching speeches that had me tearing; the cutest group of aunties I've ever met at a wedding (they had matching outfits even!!!); and of course we can't forget all the different party favors that they had at the wedding! Well Lien and Phong, you guys definitely deserve all the happiness in the world and you threw a beautiful wedding in spite of everything. Congratulations and thanks so much for having us there! 03.23.2007: Jimmy and Julie's Engagement

Congratulations to Jimmy and Julie!! Their wedding is coming up on September...(j/k!) Their wedding is coming up very quickly in OCTOBER and I met them today down in the Medical Center for their e-session. Jimmy flew in from JURRSSSSSEYYYYY and he ALMOST brought sexy back to H-town. Anyways, it was so much fun hanging out with J+J+cousins - until this really meek, mild-mannered security guard kicked us off the premises. You know you got a successful e-session when you get kicked out. Jimmy et Julie, I thoroughly enjoyed our session today and enjoy the sneaks!

Pink Posh Brides: Brandy

Today (meaning Friday, since it's technically early Saturday morning) started at Briscoe Manor for Brandy's bridal session. I asked, and she told me that her fiance will NOT be reading this blog! Anyways, Brandy looked absolutely stunning (like a ballerina!) and I love all the details she had - tiara, baroque length pearls, dropped pearl earrings. Anyways, Brandy enjoy the pictures! Luis, if you are accidentally reading this (or even intentionally) - you may want to go here http://pinkposh.blogspot.com/2006/10/10242006-luis-and-brandys-engagement.html instead!

03.22.2007: Tinku and Asha's Engagement

Congratulations to Tinku and Asha! We started the session today at one of my fave Houston wedding venue (The Gallery) for their e-session. Tinku and Asha are getting married in September and although we were already booked for a wedding on their date, I'm glad we got to do their e-session and hang out with them today! We quickly got all the required formal portraits out of the way and then proceeded to do the fun stuff - the artsy pictures! Tinku and Asha, thanks for letting me pose you around, change my mind, repose you, move locations, etc.! I hope you guys enjoy the pictures and congrats on your upcoming wedding!

Pink Posh Brides: Patsy

I met Patsy today in Deep Ellum for her bridal portraits. Her wedding is not until April, so Jonathan, if you are reading this blog....you may want to stop and click the "x" button on the top of the browser :oP. Big kudos for Patsy for letting me shoot her bridal portraits of all things completely urban. I know her mom was a little shocked at the unorthodox location, but I figured we would get enough traditional portraits on the wedding day. Anyways Patsy and entourage, enjoy the pics and see you guys in a few weeks!

03.17.2007: Stephanee and Chris

Ceremony: Bella Terraza
Venue: Bella Terraza
Presenting Mr. and Mrs. Knoxville? Dempsey? Daughtry? (Trust me, this is funny to me and the bride..). Well Chris and Stephanee (and Ashley) became a family on one of the most important holiday of the year...yups, St. Paddy's Day. Their wedding was such a blast. There were many firsts at this wedding - Stephee (that's the bride...we're that tight :oP) and I played the America's Next Top Model animal game; Chris was extremely hands-on with the planning of the wedding it appears (most groom prefer to remain blissfully unaware of the entire event and show up at the appointed time); Ashley (the groom's daughter) was on task with almost everything - at first I thought she was the wedding coordinator until I found out she was still only in high school!; and Chris and Steph truly, really, inexplicably let us do whatever the heck we wanted with them for pictures (including having them wear life preservers...don't ask.) Anyways, Chris+Steph+Ashley, thanks for an amazing time. We have never laughed so much at a wedding (I promise it was WITH you, not AT you...) Enjoy the Mexican Riviera for all of us :) ~Mariae, Paul & Vince
