Pink Posh Family: Yearwood Boys

On Sunday afternoon, I got the chance to hang out with the best looking boys in Austin. They're from the East Coast :) We just played, climbed trees, chased squirrels, made funny faces, and rolled down the hill in front of the Capital. What a wonderful lovely way to spend a Sunday :)

06.23.2007: Kim and Charles

Ceremony: Redeemer Lutheran Church
Reception: Green Pastures

Saturday had me up bright and early for Kim and Charles' wedding. They had a beautiful wedding ceremony in North Austin followed by a midday reception at Green Pastures. While Kim and the girls were getting their sexy on, I was busying myself by taking the detail pictures - garters, dress and of course, the all important shoe pictures. After I took the pictures of the shoes, the bride showed me a pair of ballet slippers that she had bought originally to wear with her dress. She ended up changing her mind after looking through the pictures on Pink Posh blog. Her reasoning - she didn't want to risk me posting up a picture of her comfortable ballet slippers in case her shoes made the blog!!! Girls, there's absolutely nothing wrong with ballet slippers but of course, you can never go wrong with a pair of Weitzman!! I didn't realize I had such great power....yes, I know - With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility...HA HA! On with the wedding day notables. Kim and Charles had a white limo driving them around all morning and ended with a gorgeous exit car (see pictures below...). 4:00pm exit - need I say more?? I don't remember the last time I got home from a wedding while there was still daylight! Silver shoes!! Best Man toast to the bride and groom - he had great stories..all that were missing were drumrolls! Old school favors - I'm talking matchbooks and personalized m&m's! And the most number of adults doing the Chicken Dance ever at a single wedding. :) Kim and Charles, I hope you are enjoying your honeymoon and you guys are "SO FUNNY!" Kim, I still think you made up that city though :oP P.S. One more thing - Kim...I told you she would do your hair first. (I know it's not classy to gloat...but I told you so!!! :oP) (~Mariae & Paul)

06.22.2007: Nathan and Amy

Congratulations to Nathan and Amy! They are getting married in September and I have a super-long Blog coming up because alot of stuff happened during this e-session! Nathan and Amy picked me up in a big black MONSTER truck and headed straightaway to H-E-B. Not for grocery shopping. Nathan and Amy first met here and wanted to get a few pictures in front of it. (I've seen movies where people have met in the grocery stores...I didn't realize it actually worked!) After H-E-B, we headed down to the Capital, where the goal was to get a picture of Nathan, Amy, the truck and the capital in one shot. Challenging..yes, since police officers blocked each entrance. So, I drew from a recent shoot where a truck was involved and was able to get the shot using...yups, the truck's MONSTER mirrors! Next on Nathan's and Amy's list - the Austin skyline. Alot tougher than you would think to find a really good place to get the skyline...well something that hasn't been done at least! So, Amy led us to a possible location on top of a parking garage. So........we get there and the truck barely made the height clearance. (Nathan drove with his head outside the window checking the roof of the truck.) Once inside, the height clearance wasn't the actual height clearance...and we couldn't move any further without taking off the truck's roof. Of course, this backed up the traffic in the lot...especially when Nathan came out and started taking the air out of the tires. Oh boy. So after much maneuvering...maybe some swear words (from me!)...we were able to exit and continue on with the search for the perfect skyline! I took them to a location that had a nice view of the skyline...and we took some pictures - but it still wasn't quite the skyline Amy had in mind. So, we talked it over a bit and recalled a skyline not too far away..and headed there. Luck of luck, we made it there without incident and got a view of the gorgeous Austin skyline at night. And to top off the night, we ended at the Alamo Drafthouse where they had their first kiss (AWWWWWW) where the neons were turned off since it was almost closing time - but after much pleading the employees there were kind enough to turn on the neon nights just for them! Nathan and Amy, that was quite an adventure last night and thanks for the yummy dinner!!!!

06.10.2007: Deidre and Jejuan

Ceremony: The Winfield Inn
Reception: The Winfield Inn
Sunday was busy busy busy!! We started the morning rushing out the door to make it to the Bridal Show downtown. Hali stayed for the entire show while Paul and I only stayed for a few hours and left to make our way out to Kyle, TX for Deidre and Jejuan's wedding. I've been really looking forward to Deidre and Jejuan's wedding since I first met them (at the January bridal show!) since they are probably our biggest or at least our most vocal enthusiasts!! (That's why I posted bunches more sneak pics than usual.) Anyways, Deidre already knew she wanted us to document her wedding even before she nailed down a date or a venue. In fact, she sent me some info on all the different venues she was looking at and asked me what I thought. Well onto the day notables: Best Maid of Honor ever. Seriously. Deidre's MOH was everywhere - doing everything. She needs to come work for us. :) Jejuan's and the boys' tuxes. They looked really sharp in their "Mercedes Benz" of tuxes and pink cravat. The bride and groom first argument as man and wife witnessed by the entire wedding party and family members. It was over who selected the pink cravats. Although, I had nothing to do with it, I am going to take credit for the pink cravats. (Since the company's name is PINK Posh - I'm convinced they were receiving subliminal messages from me...ha ha ha!) . The father of the bride special picture request (Deidre, I posted several of them there for your dad..) :) Deidre and Jejuan, congratulations and enjoy married life. Oh, by the way...Jejuan I made sure we got some compromising tabloid worthy pictures of you to sell WHEN you become a big time actor. (Notice I said when, not if.) Don't worry Deidre, I got some of you too. Spouses are tabloid worthy also :) I know, we're shameless! (Mariae and Paul)
