Ceremony: Villa Antonia
Venue: Villa Antonia
Flowers: Visual Lyrics
This past Saturday, Vince and I headed out to Lake Travis to cover Amy+Nathan's wedding at the gorgeous Villa Antonia - I shot her bridals there a few weeks earlier. What a lovely wedding! It was all about the details at this wedding. When I first met Amy, we talked about our mutual love for peonies - but September's not quite the month for peonies - so after Amy met with her florist - Visual Lyrics - they came up with the cabbage rose as an alternative. GENIUS!! They look like dead ringer for peonies!! Plus look at the detail they put into the stem of bouquet. I HEART Visual Lyrics!!! Well, Amy and Nathan are probably the most cheerful, laid-back couple that I've ever had the pleasure of working with (which is saying A LOT, because almost all of my couples are sooo supercool and chill). They exchanged vows right before sunset with readings from the groom's grandmother's bible. Some notables of the day: the bride made 200 cookies from scratch as party favor the week of the wedding (she's nuts!!!); the groom surprised everyone by showing up in his Marine uniform; cowboy boots!; super hot wedding shoes!; matching bride and groom cakes!; and finally, another Pink Posh first - the bride and groom getting locked out of their get-away truck, and the bride didn't even freak out!! Amy+Nathan, congratulations!! And you guys are truly sweet and wonderful. Also, blog readers - FYI, here's a testament that you can get more than just groceries at H-E-B. :oP (~Mariae & Vince)
